How To Listen To This Song

SHAMAN DRUMS Activate Your Higher Mind Shamanic Journey for Deep Trance & Meditation

Find a comfortable position, whether sitting on the floor, on a chair or lying down. You can close your eyes or lower your gaze. Relax your body and mind, and try not to focus on any particular thoughts but on your breath.

Try doing your Serene breathing exercise for the first few minutes of the track to help you calm your energy and center your focus on your breath for the rest of the meditation.

You can also listen to this relaxing music while you are working or studying or when you are winding down at the end of the day.

Cafe Del Mar We Can Fly

Although this relaxing song is enough to be added to the list, it is last for a reason. There is no discernible melody, and until the drum track kicks in, it sounds more like noise than music.

However, it is not all bad. The mid-tempo beat invokes images of traveling to far-off exotic lands. It is almost a requirement for an ambient song to incorporate white noise, but because it is effective, we will give it a pass.

While these songs each have distinctive styles, they share common elements such as white noise, low to mid-tempo and simple arrangements. If you find yourself feeling stressed, consider adding a song or two to your chillout playlist.

The Best Type Of Music For Relaxation

As mentioned above, the type of music you listen to affects your body in different ways, which can result in different moods.

Just as fast, upbeat music may provide a burst of energy while exercising, slower music has been shown to be more relaxing. Classical music, in particular, can help slow the pulse and heart rate, as well as decrease levels of stress hormones. So, if youre looking to wind down after a long day, opt for slower instrumental, classical, or ambient music.

Maybe you have your own playlist of relaxing music. You turn it on when you need to calm your mind. Music can make us feel so wonderfully peaceful. It produces serotonin to relieve our stress and relieve physical pain. Its always there for us.

And its not a coincidence. Music has a huge impact on our brain, and relaxing music does actually make us feel better. For example, there is a well-known theory though its not yet empirically proven about the good that a frequency of 528 Hz can do to our body.

Its called the Solfeggio frequency, originally used in Gregorian chants. Whether its healing or not, what we do know is that music is capable of making changes in our mind and body. Lets take a look at relaxing music and the mind.

Ways Music Aids In Relaxation

Relaxing Music for the Mind

Music Reduces Stress-Related Hormones

Studies have found that listening to music can lower your bodys levels of cortisol, a hormone that can contribute to feelings of stress and anxiety.

For example, in high-stress situations such as surgery, music has been proven to keep patients stress levels under control. In one study, researchers found that patients who listened to music while undergoing surgery had lower levels of cortisol when compared to patients who didnt listen to music during the procedure.

As a result of stress and anxiety reduction, music can also contribute to better sleep habits. Listening to music before going to bed has been shown to improve sleeping patterns and can be used to treat insomnia. Since sleeping is another natural stress-reducer, the cycle of listening to music to reduce stress will also result in lower stress levels experienced as a result of better sleep habits.

Music Has Therapeutic Effects on Your Brain

According to researchers, listening to music can alter brainwave speed, producing brain activity that has a therapeutic effect on the mind and body.

Similar to meditation and even hypnotism, slow rhythmic music alters brain activity in a way that induces a trance-like state similar to that of meditation, which encourages relaxation.

As a result, musics ability to alter brainwave speed can also help ease symptoms of migraines, PMS, depression and certain behavioral issues including attention deficit disorder.

As you listen to this remarkable sonata, you will find the music flowing into your body and pushing out stress and anxiety.

Barcelona Please Dont Go

Music for Relaxation Deep Background Music, Calm Music for Relax ...

Just like in Electra, the second song on this list, Please Dont Go lacks a heavy bass and uses high and mid-range frequencies in the piano and the strings. It is also written in minor key, which is commonly found in sad songs.

The lyrics stir emotion, and the soft, slightly raspy voice makes it sound as if the singer has been crying. You might start crying, too, if you really get absorbed into the song.

Its The Most Relaxing Song Ever And It Can Do This

DEEP Healing Sleep l THETA to DELTA Brain Waves l Sleeping Music – Binaural Beats

Its official, and its backed by science: There is a song that now enjoys the title of being the most relaxing song ever produced.

Studies have consistently shown that music can have an enormous impact on emotional and physical health, positively affecting performance, mood, self-expression and self-esteem.

Sound therapists and Manchester band Marconi Union teamed up to produce the quintessential relaxation track using proven elements of scientific theory. The song they created is Weightless and research by the British Academy of Sound Therapy found that it was able to lower blood pressure, slow heart rate and reduce cortisol at unprecedented rates.

Weightless is eight minutes long but the ride is a blissful one.

Feelings of euphoria and comfort are created by deliberately chosen gaps in the notes. The song features guitar, piano and electronic samples of natural landscapes and other elements that have been scientifically proven to induce relaxation.

It begins at 60 beats per minute then gradually slows to around 50, at which time the listeners heartbeat automatically falls into line with the beat. This process is known as entrainment and it takes about five minutes for this to start, explaining why the song had to be a reasonably lengthy one. According to Lyz Cooper, founder of the British Academy of Sound Therapy, the gentle slowing brings calm to the body, shifting the heart, respiration, blood pressure and brainwaves into a deeply relaxed state.
