Peace Through The Holy Spirit

Peace is a sign and a fruit of the Holy Spirits work within the believer.

Galatians 5:2223But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Romans 8:6So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

Romans 14:17For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit

And This Man Shall Be The Peace When The Assyrian Shall Come Into Our Land: And When He Shall Tread In Our Palaces Then Shall We Raise Against Him Seven Shepherds And Eight Principal Men Micah : 5

In Micah 5:5, the Messiah was prophesied about. He is said to be the peace for His people and to be their Savior. We know now that this is Jesus, but how often do we truly cling to Him as our Savior and as the source of our strength? Even when everyone was against Him, Jesus fulfilled His role as our great Messiah, and He is our peace still today. Find rest in who He is and what He has done for you and experience His peace.

Bible Quotes Peace Of Mind. QuotesGram

Having the peace of God ruling in our hearts and in our love is something that we have to let happen. If we are focused on being negative and letting all the negativity in our lives overtake what God wants to put in our hearts, we are never going to be at peace. In all things, be thankful for what He has given you, and let peace rule in your heart. Let it overflow in your soul and proclaim it by letting it affect the way you treat and love other people.

A Prayer For A Troubled Heart

Lord, we wont live in a perfect world until we join you in heaven. This current situation wont be the last crisis for the world or for me. I cant outrun, outpace, outdo, outsmart, or outlive trouble. It has a way of popping up even in the good and prosperous seasons in the culture, my life, and the lives of those around me.

Lord, quiet my raging emotions so that I can be a beacon of healing love and peace to those in my sphere of influence who are overwhelmed by panic and fear. Please help me memorize John 14:1 to share with others who ask me where my peace comes from: Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God believe also in me. These are the words that your Son Jesus spoke to His disciples to comfort them and they also give me comfort when I dont know how the story ends.

Use me Lord as your disciple to bring healing to a hurting world. I love you Lord, Amen.

Bible Verses That Bring Peace And Comfort

One of the good things about peace is that it entails comfort among many others such as assurance, focus, and joy. Now, let us go over some Bible verses that speak of peace and comfort to help our troubled minds:

Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Undoubtedly, once one has genuinely walked with the Lord, that person can attest to the peace and comfort that only God can provide. We cannot plan peace, for it is only earned by walking with God. And as we walk, many forces will try to snatch us out of reach from the Lord. However, we find rest and comfort knowing that the Shepherd that leads us will go out of His way to rescue us.

We may find ourselves traveling many paths in our pursuit of green pastures. Sometimes, these paths are unforgiving and hard, to say the least. It will test not only the peace we hold in our hearts but also our faith. The devil will be tempting us in ways more than one and try to ruin both our external and internal peace. However, Christ Jesus is ever faithful and reminds us to fear not rather keep walking with Him and for Him. Even in the darkest of circumstances, even as death approaches, Gods kindness is always accessible to grant us comfort and peace.

Hebrews 6:19

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.

Romans 8:35

What Does The Bible Say About Peace

Pastor John Hagee – “The God of Peace”

The Bible teaches that peace is found in God alone, even though people spend their days searching for it in countless other places. The Lexham Theological Wordbook defines peace as the wholeness, soundness, and well-being that characterizes God and that God created in the world. As peace was broken due to human sin, such well-being constitutes the hope for ultimate restoration by God.

In Scripture, peace is the result of being made right with God through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The original Hebrew word for peace is shalom, a term rich with meaning. The best English translations of shalom are found in words such as completeness, wholeness, well-being, and welfare. The root expression refers to being complete or sound.

The original Greek word translated as peace is eirn. Like shalom, eirn can be used as a welcoming greeting or a farewell, as in peace be with you. It means absence of war or conflict as well as well-being and interpersonal harmony.

Ultimately, peace is the gift of God to believers through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. It means more than the mere absence of conflict. Biblical peace is an inner disposition that reflects the ideal of creation restored to a state of harmony with God and others in wellness, wholeness, love, righteousness, holiness, and calm.

Were these people of violence or evil, or were they helpful people of peace? We often wrestle with ourselves in our minds and wonder why we cannot find peace. One can never find inner peace in the path of the wicked. It is a prerequisite to all forms of peace to turn our backs on things that are not of the Lords. Why? Because if we continue to remain in sin, we will have guilt. Not only guilt but the consequences of our wrongdoings can also destroy our inner peace and place us in a position of constant worry. However, there is no guilt or sin in seeking peace and pursuing it but life and joy.
