John 1: 2: Peace I Leave With You My Peace I Give You
Time and again in the Bible, Jesus explains how He came to bring us peace. Just before his death, Jesus shares with his disciples:
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Its incredible to think that just before he was crucified, Jesus was focused on bringing joy and peace to His followers. To quote John Piper, He is about to be tortured to death with one of the most horrific means of torture ever devised, and his burden was to solidify in the souls of his followers peace and joy and faith.
John 14:27 reminds us that Jesus wants His followers to have the kind of unshakeable peace that only comes from God, not the world. Whatever youre facing let this truth bring you great comfort.
Then John 16:33 reassures us that even though we face trials and difficulties in this world, Jesus has overcome them. Ultimately, He has overcome death, we have nothing to fear.

The Lord Causes Peace
When the Lord takes pleasure in anyones way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them.
Another common theme throughout the Old Testament is how God used Israels enemies to discipline them. The prophets regularly pleaded with Israel to amend their sinful ways so they wouldnt be overcome by their enemies. Here the writer reiterates this idea by telling the readers that when God is pleased with them, He will encourage their enemies to make peace.

Bible Verses About Finding Peace Of Mind
Often, we may try to look for it in all the wrong places when in fact, finding perfect peace of mind can only be found in God. But where to seek it? What better place than His scriptures of course!
Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
The Lord blesses the peacemakers. To reap peace, one must also sow peace. Peace of mind does not magically appear overnight. Attaining divine peace of mind is a process. It requires self-discipline, a whole lot of trust, and continuing walking in the path of peace no matter how hard it may seem with the Holy Ghost as the Shepherd.
Being a peacemaker and ridding ourselves of the schemes of the devil, gives us peace in a way that we are confident we walk in the path Christians should. There is no guilt in being a peacemaker, no consequences that can rattle our cores, nor any danger. But perfect peace comes by being a peacemaker rooted in the teachings of God.
Proverbs 14:30
A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.
To find peace of mind, we must first establish peace in our hearts. What is in our hearts will eventually translate to our actions, thoughts, and words. If we keep a troubled heart, we will have a troubled mind and a troublesome tongue. But how do we have peace in our hearts? Invite the peace of God and the Holy Spirit to guide our hearts.

Do you remember the struggles of David?
He went through countless ups and downs in his journey with God. David was called by God to be King, but before that he had to endure persecution and hardship. Eventually, he became King, and everyone knows that his rule wasnt without troubles and controversy.
As David grew older, and looked back, he recognized that his hope was in God and that peace can be found only in Him . And therefore, he relied on God to help him through every tough situation.
Just like David, our lives have ups and downs, good and bad days. We face financial problems, illness and pain, frustration and hurt, vulnerability and limitations, loss of loved ones, and above all, an unknown future. Oh, life gets messy sometimes.
Maybe today, you dont have personal peace. You dont have peace about your past, your present or your future. You dont have peace in your family, your marriage or at your workplace. Do you have giants to defeat, mountains that need to be moved, powers and principalities to fight?
Know that, like David, you too can be an overcomer by depending on God for all your needs.
Put on the whole armor of God, take the name of Jesus, take the blood of the cross and fight the good fight.

Let Christs Peace Rule In Your Hearts
Therefore, as Gods chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
God grows the fruits of the Spirit inside of us, but that doesnt mean that we play no part. Here Paul talks about how we avail ourselves of these critical traits. We put them on like clothing. We exercise them in how we treat one another. But when he gets to peace, he uses the verb let. If we want the peace of Christ to reign in our life, we just need to let it. We need to get out of the way.
